Join Joe Lategan for an intensive wildlife photography and filmmaking masterclass in the Kgalagadi, then return for the Kgalagadi Wildlife Photographers Competition Awards Festival.

During the masterclass, we will work in the field on route planning, animal behaviour, anticipating a photograph, and the skill Joe considers most underestimated: using your vehicle as a photographic position. We will also explore wildlife film and documentary storytelling.

The awards festival brings photographers together to celebrate the competition winners, their images and stories. We are developing a wider programme of photography, film and Kalahari cultural experiences around the awards.

The masterclass is based at Kgalagadi Lodge and is limited to approximately six participants. You can register interest in the complete experience, or book the awards festival separately when packages are released.

There are no scheduled masterclass or awards activities on 17–18 March; guests choosing the complete experience can arrange their stay across those two days.
